Stephen C. Everett (Chairman) Appointed 2 July 2004; B Eng (Chem), MAICD

Mr. Everett is a chemical engineer who has 30 years management experience in the resource industry, including production and project management, marketing, corporate restructuring, debt/equity financing and government relations. Mr. Everett's senior executive positions have included Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of private and publicly listed companies. Formerly, Mr. Everett held the position of Chairman of BeMaX Resources NL, and is currently Chairman of Australian Solomons Gold Limited, JJ McDonald and Sons Engineering Pty Ltd and was formerly a Non-Executive Director of Michelago Limited until he resigned in March 2006.

Henderson G. Tuten (Non-Executive Director) Appointed 3 December 2004; BA, Econ

Mr. Tuten is a partner in and chairs the Investment Committee of Resource Capital Funds, a United States based investment fund. Prior to this, he spent over 15 years with the N.M. Rothschild and Sons Group. During that period, he was progressively, the Chief Executive Officer of Rothschild Australia Limited, Rothschild North America, Inc. and Continuation Investments, the Rothschild Group's private equity arm. Prior to that, he was a commercial banker with the Philadelphia National Bank. Mr. Tuten serves on several Boards of Directors in connection with his investment activities.

Peter A. Secker (Non-Executive Director) Appointed 3 December 2004; B Sc (Mining)

Mr. Secker is a mining engineer with 25 years experience in mine and company management. He has held the positions of Mine Manager at Emperor Mines Limited in Fiji, General Manager of Gold Mines of Australia, Vice President of Sino Gold Ltd and he is currently CEO of JJ McDonald & Sons Pty Ltd.

T. Sean Harvey (Non-Executive Director) Appointed 11 October 2006; BA Econ (Hons), MBA, LLB

Mr. Harvey is based in Canada and has over 10 years investment banking and merchant banking experience, primarily focused on the mining sector and for the last 5 years has held senior executive and board positions with various mining companies, including his current positions of Non-Executive Chairman of Andina Minerals Inc., Non-Executive Director of Moto Goldmines Limited and Polaris Geothermal Inc. Previously he has held the positions of President and CEO of Orvana Minerals Corp., President and CEO of TVX Gold, subsequent to that, was President and CEO of Atlantico Gold.

Ian C. Burvill (Non-Executive Director) Appointed 18 December 2006, B Eng, MBA

Mr. Burvill has an extensive background in mining finance and engineering. He is a part-time consultant to Resource Capital Funds (RCF), a resource-focused private equity firm. Mr. Burvill’s past executive positions include being a Partner with RCF, an Associate Director in the resource banking department of Rothschild Australia Limited, and design and project engineering positions with Minproc Engineers and Lycopodium. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Highlands Pacific Limited and has previously served as a Non-Executive Director of five other listed and unlisted mining companies.

John G. Bovard (Non-Executive Director) Appointed 27 December 2007; B.E. (Civil), FAUSIMM, FAICD

John Bovard

Mr. Bovard is a civil engineer with over 40 years experience in mining, heavy construction, project development and corporate management. His career has included roles as CEO of public companies and both executive and non-executive directorships. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mr. Bovard currently holds the position of Non-Executive Chairman with Axiom Mining Ltd, a Hong Kong based company listed on the ASX with active gold and copper exploration projects in Vietnam and Queensland. He was recently the CEO of Asia Pacific Resources Ltd, a Canadian listed mining company, developing large potash resource in Thailand. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of the ASX publicly listed Danae Resources NL and a director of Greenwich Resources plc listed on the LSE. He was previously the project manager for the successfully completed A$800 million Queensland Fertilizer Project for WMC Ltd. Experience in the Pacific region includes approximately 10 years in total on the Bougainville, OkTedi and Porgera mining projects.

John Blake (Chief Executive Officer) M. Eng, SC, MBA, DBA, MAUSIMM

Mr. Blake has more than 30 years experience in the mining industry, for the last 11 years John has been working in Indonesia, most recently as a Director of Agincourt Resources, Director of Operations for Newcrest Mining and General Manager for MacMahon Contractors. At Newcrest John was responsible for development, construction and production operations for the Gosowong and Toguraci open pit Gold mines and the Kencana underground Gold mine. John holds a Masters in Engineering Science (Mining) an M.B.A. and a Doctor of Business Administration and is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Barry J. Casson (Corporate Finance Executive and Joint Company Secretary) CA, MAICD

Mr. Casson is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 30 years accounting and primarily commerce experience which includes approximately 22 years in the mining industry as Finance Director/CFO or equivalent consulting assignments. He has extensive international experience in project financing and corporate transactions in Australia, United States of America, Canada, Mauritania, Sardinia, Indonesia and more recently Uzbekistan. Barry is also a Non-Executive Director of Archipelago Resources plc, a gold mining company listed on AIM since September 2003.

David I. Roach (Chief Financial Officer and Joint Company Secretary) B. COMM, MBA, CPA

Mr. Roach is a qualified Certified Practising Accountant with Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Business Administration degrees from the University of Queensland and a member of ACIS (Chartered Secretaries). He has over 18 years experience as a senior finance professional. David's mining experience includes positions with TSX listed Weda Bay Minerals Inc. (November 1996 - August 2003) and ASX listed Werrie Gold Limited (November 1993 - September 2000), in both cases as CFO and Company Secretary.
